Rachael Taylor is a birth doula and yoga instructor based in Richmond, Virginia. Her goal is to help mothers-to-be move through labor with comfort and grace to have their best birth possible. She believes in a woman's ability to give birth, and that a mother should feel safe and supported throughout the entire process.
Rachael also believes that a regular yoga practice is essential to prepare for a mindful birth. She enjoys guiding mothers and mothers-to-be through a practice that establishes a mind-body connection, awareness of the breath, and discovering the difference between sensation and pain.
She is a DONA doula and a 200-Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, specializing in prenatal yoga.
Rachael is also an MFA candidate in the poetry program at VCU, earned a BA from the University of Mary Washington in English: Poetry Writing, and studied painting at Pratt Institute.
